With the introduction of the 175 TV in 1957 Innocenti introduced the fix fender that became the iconic character of all future Lambrettas.

The fix fender design, ‘fixes’ the front fender position. When the rider turns the handlebars left and right the front wheel turns however the front fender remains fixed, pointing straight-ahead.

With the flex fender design, the front fender follows the front wheel as it turns left to right.

The V-Special is available in both Fix as well as Flex fender designs to appeal to the personal taste of its owner.

Lambretta introduces the double layer side panel. The base is an ingenious 1.2 mm steel middle beam that stretches to the sides in an airplane profile architecture.

This construction not only enables Lambretta owners to reach their engine easily, but also avoids unnecessary added weight.

The sides are then covered with side panels that can be delivered in different shapes and colours.

The standard V-Special is ‘monocolore’.
